"It's better to be six feet apart right now than six feet under."
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer
"Blognito ergo sum!"
"Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius."
"Das war ein Vorspiel nur, dort wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man auch am Ende Menschen."
"Все счастливые семьи похожи друг на друга, каждая несчастливая семья несчастлива по-своему."
"Кто что ни говори, а подобные происшествия бывают на свете, - редко, но бывают."
"A person who has a cat by the tail knows a whole lot more about cats than someone who has just read about them."
Mark Twain
"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
"The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it."

Cookie Jill, thanks for pointing us to that performance of O Catnada.
And a great Shakespeare festival, a great rodeo, and a lot of other things going on North of the border.
Jill, none of my cats would allow that to exist for more than a few seconds, and most of them would jump in to the center, and here I thought Flipper was a Mormon dolphin.
Groan, Steve.
I grew up about 3 miles South of the Canadian boarder in the State of Washington so it’s nice to see it’s still there. (Not a lot of news about Canada here in Spain. Don’t know why but that’s the way it is.)
While it was still under Franco, I spent a lot of time at the US Naval facility at Rota. It was a bit weird being in Spain, but having Irish bar tenders. Sangria [the grape kool-aid of Spain] did some serious damage to us.
You almost get the feeling some time that Canadians are apologetic for existing, which doesn’t make much sense given all of the great things there are in Canada, even up by Alaska.
Welcome to my little patch.
