A Little Good News
It is being reported that BBC’s Gaza correspondent released.
BBC correspondent Alan Johnston has been freed by his captors in Gaza after his abduction nearly four months ago.
Television pictures showed Mr Johnston, 45, leaving a building and entering a white car, accompanied by armed men. He said he was tired but in good health.
Hamas said they would free Mr. Johnston, and they kept their promise after they took control of the Gaza, but, of course, you can’t negotiate with “terrorists.”

It’s definitely good news that he’s free. I feared it would end up very differently
At least Hamas understood that accurate reporting was their best friend. Alan Johnston has been providing the truth as he could find it from the area for a very long time. Seizing him was an incredibly stupid move, and stupid people do terrible things.
Unfortunately for the Palestinians, it is unlikely that anyone will take his place anytime soon.i
The Hamas leadership (at least some of them) look like they are trying to make the trains run on time, in a matter of speaking. They aren’t stupid.
More power to them. If they can control their radical elements and get Gaza on it’s feet it would lead to much more stability in the Middle East.
This is GOOD behavior that should be rewarded. We know that won’t happen under the current assministration.
These people have never rewarded anyone except their friends, and that generally occurs after a major screw-up. Apparently the award of the Presidential Medal of Freedom is predicated on overseeing a major screw-up that will make history books.
