This Has To Stop

He just does it to make the Shrubbery’s kids look bad.  First Prince Harry joins the Army. Then he goes into a combat zone. Now the BBC reports Prince Harry is helping to refurbish a special needs school in Lesotho.

The prince’s charity, Sentebale, is supporting the project at the only school of its kind in the African country, which caters for 43 children.

He has been joined by more than 20 colleagues from the Household Cavalry’s Blues and Royals regiment, in which he is a lieutenant, for the project.

Reporters watched the 23-year-old moving materials by wheelbarrow as he helped build a disabled access ramp.

The group are working to rebuild the Thuso Centre in the northern town of Butha Buthe, which caters for children with profound physical and mental disabilities.

There he is, on his own time, spending his own money, rebuilding a school for handicapped children. Is this any way for a child of wealth and privilege to act? He is just starting trouble, helping the less fortunate and getting dirty doing it.  It’s like having a former American President and First Lady building houses for poor people.

Class – some people are born with it, and others will never understand the concept.

Tch, tch… Some people just have no shame do they? *sigh* just what are the UK teaching their Royal children anyway? Humanitarian elites? What a novel concept! It’ll never catch on! Never… And… *actually* getting hands soiled! :O The horror of it! :O But… what was that word… Ummmm… ahh, Helping! Yeah… a privileged elite *actually* being helpful??? What’s his angle anyway??! Very suspicious if you ask me! Would never happen in the *real* World we all inhabit… must be just a dream.

It’s almost as bad as his dad running around making money while insisting on sustainable organic farming on his estates, and actually putting on “wellies” and getting in the muck to show his tenants that it will work.

He’s converted all of his vehicles to bio-diesel except his Aston-Martin, a gift from Mum on his 21st birthday, which was converted to run on ethanol from wine over-production.

Helping the disabled, saving the planet – the whole family is suspect. 😈

Oh yeah! And this crap about caring for the future! What’s that crap? Sheesh! Everyone *knows* the future is next week! Geez… who cares about 50 or 100 years from now! We’ll all be dead anyway. Idiots. Don’t they teach them anything?

LMAO

Seriously, you hit on the most important reason no one should ever vote for a “business-type” for any political office – they can’t see beyond the quarter and have no intention of trying.

At most they are concerned about the next election, not the next generation.

I know. 😉

And anyway… It’s not like the Bushmorons kids need any help looking bad. They are quite capable of that all by themselves. 🙂 Next, they may even learn to tie shoe laces by themselves! The possibilities are endless! By the time they reach 40 or 50, they may even be able to string a sentence together that’s grammatically correct! Though, given their genetic inheritance… that may be a bit beyond their capabilities. That skill has eluded their father. Then again, I doubt he can tie his own shoe laces, so there may be some hope for the kids. Anything is possible. 🙂

LMAO

Awwww, the insanity & the embarressment for those poor Brits. My heart breaks for them.

Kind of throws a curve ball into that old adage about a broken home, too. Do you think Harry ever remembers his parents happy together? Yet, he manages to be thankful for what he has and give back.

What is the world coming to?

Some of the less kind say that Texans wear boots so they don’t have to learn to tie shoes – but that’s not nice.

At least he and his brother weren’t sent to the medieval chamber of horrors where their dad went to school to “toughen them up”.

When Americans celebrities do this kind of thing it’s called community service, and it’s part of a plea bargain.

Hmm. I gather Jenna would probably volunteer to help dispose of wine overproduction…

Many real Texans don’t wear boots at all. (I am one of those.) Those among us who do wear boots, know perfectly well how to lace them. Those who don’t know how to lace their own footgear aren’t real Texans. (Why would the Shrubbery need cowboy boots anyway, considering he’s more than a bit shy of horses?)

(For the record: I would not be tossing verbal brickbats at a president’s daughter of either party if she hadn’t started the blatant public rudeness herself, at an age at which she should have known better.)

You haven’t spent much time around Burkburnett, Steve, or you wouldn’t make general statements like that. Of course, over here in Okaloosa County, you didn’t wear anything on your feet unless you were forced to by law or your mother.

Hopefully we have seen the last of these people in January, and never have to think of them again.

You’re right, Bryan: before this moment, I’d never heard of Burkburnett. Its web site offers “A Historical Past, A Promising Future!” What more could one ask. I mean, if it had a past that was not historical, it could get into all kinds of trouble regarding causality. The city map on the web site won’t load at the moment, which I presume means they roll up the streets at night.

All that said, I did once spend a day in nearby Wichita Falls, where our high school choir bus broke down. At that age, we didn’t care; the moves on our mind had nothing to do with transportation.

My Dad was stationed at Sheppard AFB outside of Wichita Falls as his last job in the Air Force before retirement. I attended Burkburnett High School because it was closer to the base that Wichita Falls High School. The guys next door took the longer trip to WFHS. I could attend Burkburnett because I was the “right type”, but my neighbors weren’t. This was 1962.

One of my dreams was being able to convince the Soviet Strategic Rocket Forces that Burkburnett, Texas absolutely needed to be on their target list.

Really lovely place, with welcoming people 😈
