"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Hopefully Firefox 3.01 will be more stable. 3.0 was crashing on me quite often.
The .0 version of anything rarely works in software.
It has been stable for me, but I don’t ask much of it.
‘ AND 1==1–
That’s the sort of thing that would drive me nuts correcting student source code, not to mention finding it in a program I was hired to modify.
[depending on the specific language]
Firefox 3.01 appears (?) to have corrected my one regular complaint: before, bookmarks three levels deep in the menu would not stay in place long enough to be clicked.
mapaghimagsik, that reminds me a bit of some of the expressions malicious users insert as values in HTML forms in an attempt to trip up pages that generate SQL from the form content. Coders of active content quickly learn not to be careless about validating values coming in from forms before generating search SQL. Clearly the WordPress folks already know that. 🙂
They finally took care of that in v 2.* after all of the escape code problems.
The only visible difference will be that the people without gravatars will be assigned a geometric avatar for their comments.
I’m doing some PhP/MySQL coding at the moment and all of my time is being sucked up verifying the input, especially building range limits on dollar amounts.
I’ve heard of others have problems with Firefox 3.0, but I didn’t.
i wondered what the deal was with the geometric thingies. they’re ugly.
There’s always a critic. If people don’t like them they can get an gravatar. It was the geometric thingies or monsters.
The Gravitars have shrunk!! 😐 I look like I met with that pygmy tribe of headhunters!
LOL 😉
As I write this, the Gravatars have shrunk to nothing.
The avatars are down to 40 pixels from the default which was probably 80. I’m not going to look for that change any time soon.
