More Civil Than I Feel
Mad Kane on the what is reportedly the latest Democratic screw-up.
I don’t care if you can’t override a veto, the Shrubbery can’t allocate funds. If he wants the money, make him compromise. Stop enabling this idiot.

Gutless.
Sigh.
And worse — a “secret war on Iran”.
Bush is such and unbelievable, shitful monster.
i know i’m going against the accepted wisdom, but ralph nader is looking more and more prescient about the dems and the repubs these days.
I feel betrayed. And from one who has had plenty of political disappointments in his life, that’s a strong statement.
I may have to write Pelosi a letter like the one I once wrote Joe Biden regarding his condemnation of Bill Clinton for the Lewinsky affair, a letter that began, “Dear Sen. Biden: Whatever were you thinking?”
What, indeed, were they thinking? Reid’s explanation of their “reason” (and I use the word loosely) for removing timelines from the bill was completely unsatisfactory.
Why, exactly, did so many of us bust our butts to send these people to Congress?
We’ll have to wait for the vote, and it damn well better be a roll call, so we know who the traitors are, because they are traitors to the people who elected them.
I just dont get it either…its so much better to make this ass-wipe of a Potus to keep having to veto acceptable bill to get his funds than to allow him to dictate terms. Blah!
I wouldn’t have changed a word on the supplemental, but I might have agreed to take out all of the other funding, and then sent it back with a message that this is the best deal there is.
Thanks so much for linking my latest political limerick! And to think I had been feeling somewhat optimistic about the Dems. But push comes to shove, they always seem to let us down!
They don’t seem to understand how much real power they have, or are afraid to use it.
