Fubar at Needlenose grabbed a line from a Walter Mondale op-ed piece in the Washington Post about the Carter administration: “we told the truth, obeyed the law, and kept the peace.”
Those concepts should be the main talking points of the Democratic Party. They should be on bumper stickers and literature. The GOP should be hammered with them.

Telling the truth, obeying the law, and keeping the peace is exactly what is expected and demanded of ordinary citizens or we get the book thrown at us.
There is no reason – not even wet-your-pants threats of an imminent terrorist attack – for throwing any of those three concepts out the window.
I would start making a few commercials featuring the Shrubbery’s mantra about bringing integrity back to the White House and pictures and headlines about the various Repub convictions.
If it’s expected of the people, it should be expected from the people’s government.
