"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. Hold it, I thought you lived in Florida, and it is, like, 80 degrees there right now? Sorta like it was 80 degrees in Santa Clara yesterday? Methinks said kitties simply saw freshly-laundered clothing and did what kitties are supposed to do — infuse it with magical essense of cat hair. No clothing, after all, is complete until accessorized with sufficient cat hair in any household owned by cats. Especially if you own a black cat and a white cat — then you are assured that whether you buy dark clothing or light-colored clothing, it will be properly accessorized.

it used to be 80 degrees here. like , yesterday.
Friday Ark #162…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …
Badtux, Stella has a small pillow fake-embroidered with the caption, “No outfit is complete without cat hair.” Indeed.
Yesterday, on a whim, I grabbed a jacket on the way to an outdoor concert. That must have been one of the few correct decisions I’ve made in my life when confronted with the remote possibility (so I thought) of chilly weather. By the end of the concert, my life depended on that jacket.
Stella’s kitties have been very affectionate lately. It’s going to be a tough one as Houston winters go.
Iwas wondering myself if they looked at your washing and though “not enough cat hair here, let’s sor that out”
This is the northern Gulf Coast, Badtux, 48° as I type this and the houses are built for air conditioning not heat. The winter is rain from a cold front passing through then the temperature drops for a few days and then go back up to the temperature of the Gulf. Snow is rare, but not unheard of, and freezes are welcome as they keep down the bugs.
They have accept all different things into the pride, Jams, can’t have a lot of foreign t-shirts hanging around.
Nothing like fresh clean clothes to nap on, though several of mine adore rolling in the dirty clothes as we sort them…”yum, dirty, smelly clothes!”
Socks, they steal dirty socks and stash them all over, CG.
I’ll take cat hair all over my clothes as opposed to fine, black soot like we’re getting up here now.
Black isn’t good, that indicates hydrocarbons, not wood burning. I wonder if there’s a ruptured oil pipeline, or perhaps a landfill on fire. Another source is jet engines, if the jet fuel doesn’t burn completely. You have a lot of aircraft in the area, and the CO2 level has to be pretty high which would affect engine performance. Most wood ash is on the light side.
