No Blue Eyes For You

Friday Cat Blogging

Forget it, we know about the light, Flashboy.

[Editor: Excise, sprawled on a blanket older than I am, managed to close his eyes every time I took a picture.]

One evening news show tonight had a segment about the fact that all blue-eyed humans apparently descend from a single individual ancestor. They didn’t say anything about cats, though. Your photo is the perfect example of cat-vs.-camera.

I switched to him after his mother and sister did it to me, and he was settled for a change. He must have been listening to his mom for a change, because he did it for three shots.

You don’t need his eyes open to see what a cute kitty he is (or are they still not being cute?) His coloration is marvelous. Isn’t he the kitten that was so close to being white? Amazing what his coat turned to. He looks so soft and kissable! Kissy kissy kitty.

We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …

Yes, OWL, he was born white and slowly acquired his markings. He can still exhibit kitten behavior at 2AM.

Alas, Jams, the whole crew is on to me, I think they are hearing the capacitor charge for the flash.

Just another example of cattitude, LK.

That’s when you have to buy a new camera, Bryan. Then it takes them another few weeks to learn the sounds that the new camera makes :-).

So the Tax Cats are going to be a year old this April 15?

The date makes it easy to remember their ages, ‘Tux, and I think I’ll try a different mode before I spring for a different camera.

BTW, since I can’t comment at your place, I think you’re right about needing to do B&W to take a picture of a black cat. The mode is much better at catching the light level variations. Jams shows that it works much better for the “blue” [gray] cats in his pictures of Mimi.
