Hmmm
It’s nearly sort of kind of what I was looking for after too much messing around. The off-site links now open in a new window; the posting area is now wide enough for the I Can Has Cheezeburger? pictures; clicking on the top graphic takes you to the front page. I still need to implement Gravatars, and putz around with the sidebars, but it’s generally done so that when I update WordPerfect I don’t have to rebuild everything.
Oh, the beach scene is local, Grayton Beach. That’s what the quartz sand and turquoise near-shore waters look like. There are six graphics that display randomly- 5 scenes and a variation on the original.

finally! took a bunch of clicking, but i did get all 6 of them to show up eventually.
i’ve been to grayton beach. nice spot. then again, i’ve yet to meet a beach i didn’t like.
looks good firefox and iewhateverivegtnow, but once again, you have ignored us opera users. not that we are exactly legion. 😀
Ah, but I didn’t do the design work on this one, so I don’t have to take the grief. I need to do something about the implementation of Preview because it really sucks.
Oooo…pretty beach. I have hopes of getting some beach time – finally – this summer. Most likely the Outer Banks of NC (OBX), but still…
It’s a real stretch to imagine that peaceful, lovely water rampaging through the inland.
The problem is that the northern Gulf is shallow until you get well off shore, so when the surge gets up on the shelf the effect is multiplied.
Very nice looking template, Bryan. Soon enough the other minor stuff will be history, and we can all enjoy the new banners. (I’ve seen only one; more when I have more time.)
Now I’m verifying that my plug-ins are current, that was the problem with the post preview.
ok, i take back my complaint about the design, since i actually do like some of the new features [including the header graphics complete with properly turned out gravatar], and i’m a rabid fan of ichc, so that definitely has priority. i can cope with the sidebars popping up in odd places.
but… it’s cheezburger.
Now with gravatars, but I’ll probably reduce the size, and I struck through the “e”, although you can’t see it.
ah yes, i see it now.
