US Clock Change This Weekend

Daylight Savings Time ends in the US Sunday morning, November 6th at 2AM. It becomes 1AM and you get an extra hour of sleep, unless you work the “graveyard shift”.

Most devices make the change automatically, although many, like my clock radio, change under the old system and have to be ignored for a couple of weeks.

Thank you for reminding me. I knew it during the week, but just now, after reading, realized I would need to change my clocks.

It’ s a pain, and I have to change the blog manually, as well as the microwave and car.

You do locate the most interesting ‘cats’, OWL. 😉

My wake-up device, alas, takes several weeks to realize that the clock has changed. Cold nose in face at 5AM (vs. 6AM) is *VERY* annoying :).

In my sleepy fog last night, I set my bedside clock… forward. I guess it’s like walking on my cripple boot… fall forward, spring back. Yes, I know better, but not when I am almost completely asleep. Fortunately, I had nowhere to go this morning.

Yes, Badtux, I know do the main feeding at 5PM instead of 6PM now, because the cats refuse to change their clocks.

We should just changed the start and stop times from 9 to 5 to 8:30 to 4:30 and forget about changing the clocks and our sleeping patterns.

bah, feeding is the easy part. everybody here is on a free-feeding schedule, which means that the dog gets free handouts whenever i eat and i fill up all the bowls with dry food whenever they look low – or whenever a cat or 2 or 5 reminds me that they can see part of the bottom of the bowl.

the dog’s bathroom schedule otoh is set in concrete and revolves entirely around light and darkness and has nothing whatsoever to do with the quaint notion of clocks.

The inside cats don’t care, but the ferals gather around twilight, and twilight is an hour earlier.
