Dull Day For News

In what was an obvious coordinated attack at multiple locations, the police have wasted millions of tax dollars destroying camp sites of the Occupy movement. The people will relocate and start again. This isn’t going away.

You should sign this petition, or at least read it. Badtux told you to do it on Saturday, 11/12, and ‘Noz started the ball rolling on Tuesday, 11/08. If the petition disappears, let me know. I copied the text.

There is apparently not going to be a professional basketball season this year, which I know really bothers you. This is what happens when the 1% fights among themselves.

Newt is apparently the new favorite Not-Romney candidate in the GOP. They really want Zero to win.

Newt has one advantage over the previous not-Romneys, in that he is neither certifiably insane nor a total cretin. He is a vile slimy reptile, of course, which will not garner him votes amongst those who dislike reptiles, but (shrug). It’s not exactly as if Romney is a dynamic candidate. I’ve seen bricks with more personality than Romney.

As you say, Obama is the luckiest politician on the planet. Theoretically he should be toast — as the saying goes, “it’s the economy, stupid!” and the economy ain’t doing squat. But the GOP would have to run a viable candidate against him to do that, and there ain’t a Ronald Reagan anywhere in that current crowd — ole’ Ronnie was great at making the most evil ideas seem like genial common sense, but this crowd makes evil ideas just look, well, evil.

The GOP has let the Tea Party take them over the cliff.

I think the Republicans realize things are really broken and there is no money in the Treasury. Let the Democrats fix the economy and THEN the Republicans will take back the government…

“Let the Democrats fix the economy…” – ellroon

But austerity will NOT fix the economy, no matter which party pursues it. Been there, tried that, in the Herbert Hoover era. My best guess: total economic collapse in about 2013, whoever becomes prez.

I signed the petition, creating an account under an alias I’ve never used before. Despite that, through some unknown chicanery, the site displayed a signature conformable to my real name, which probably appears in a number of cookies in my browser. Do you really think Big Brother is not watching?

Thinking more on the Occupy raids, if Homeland Security wasn’t involved in coordinating these simultaneous raids, I’m a featherless waterfowl. And thinking about it, you *have* to know that the Obama Administration has to be muttering under their breath about all these tent cities. They’re not idiots. They *did* study history in school, unlike the GOP, so they’re just waiting for someone in the GOP who’s actually studied history (maybe Newt the Reptile) to dub these Occupy encampments as “Obamavilles”. That did wonders for the re-election chances of Herbert Hoover, eh?

In short, the optics of the Occupy movement means that it has to be destroyed, at least in the form of being actual encampments of the unemployed, underemployed, and homeless on public land. None of which has a damn thing to do with America and Americans, of course. It’s all about power and obtaining or retaining power, and America? Gosh, it was a good idea, wasn’t it?

Yup, there is something for everyone to hate about a bunch of people gathering together to state the obvious – things suck for the 99% and the government doesn’t care if the 1% are happy.

Europe is sinking under austerity, but the US government doesn’t seem to understand. The only way out is stimulus, but no one is willing to push for it.

It is the young who are truly screwed. The longer this drags on, the worse their prospects are. They have degrees that are going to be obsolete before they actually get to use them.

😆 A friend d/l the last few TDS for me and I just finished watching them! I havn’t laughed so hard for soooo long! PMSL

Two that were particularly good were:

TDS: November 10, 2011 – Adam Sandler
Ohhh man!! I am seriously PMSL! 😆
“Rick Perry draws a blank at the CNBC debate, The Best F#@king News Team Ever revels in Perry’s brain fart, and Adam Sandler dishes on his family life.”

TDS: November 14, 2011 – Leymah Gbowee
The Leymah Gbowee interview was really good I thought. An amazing woman.
“Aasif Mandvi explains why facts are GOP candidates’ enemy, Jason Jones takes a look at ugly people, and Leymah Gbowee discusses the Liberian peace movement.”

And I really needed a good laugh! Maybe there is a God after all! 😉 😆

Thank you America! 😛 😉

The GOP primary is certainly good for laughs, if nothing else. The basic problem is that everyone who could actually do the job knows that the economy is on its way into the toilet because of austerity, so they know the next President will be featured next to Herbert Hoover in the history books. As a result, we have Zero vs the Clown College.

Oh, Steve, anytime you contact any of Zero’s ‘organs’ they want to harvest your e-mail address to annoy you for money. They spend a hell of a lot of time building spam lists that would be better spent on fixing the economy.

Zero vs the Clown College.

Oh man, don’t do that. You’re gonna kill me making me laugh that hard :).
