Missing The Point

Steve at No More Mister Nice Blog, among many others, has made the issue the way the legacy media™ treats Democrats in general and Mrs. Clinton in particular, as opposed to the way GOP candidates are treated. Well, yes, that is nothing new or unusual, the media has been suffering from CDS [Clinton Derangement Syndrome] for an extended period, and the symptoms have only gotten worse with media concentration.

But the issue, the real issue, is not being addressed.

…Clinton began by telling Rolph “the premise of the question is wrong,” and argued the measure calls for the terrorist label so sanctions can be imposed. The sanctions, she also said, will “send a clear message to the leadership” and lead to stronger diplomatic efforts.

The Democratic presidential front-runner then concluded by suggesting the question was planted, saying, “somebody obviously sent it to you.”

[Randall] Rolph has a history of asking particularly pointed questions of candidates. He has asked questions in a similar fashion at events for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson.

CNN apparently took the trouble to look into Mr. Rolph’s background and discovered he goes to these events to ask tough questions, and doesn’t seem to be shilling for anyone.

I would have asked the same question, and Mrs. Clinton gave the worst possible response I can imagine. She has dodged the question on her original vote, and is dodging the question about the Kyl-LIEberman vote. Her reasons for her vote make me absolutely certain that I will not vote for her, even if she wins the nomination – she is repeating her mistakes.

The Authorization for the Use of Military Force against Iraq was “a bargaining tool to convince Iraq we were serious” and the Kyl-LIEberman is “a bargaining tool to convince Iran we are serious.” Saying that she is going to get together with Senator Webb to introduce legislation to ensure that there is a second vote before the Hedgemony starts its next war is a waste of effort – she can’t muster the 60 votes in the Senate to break the GOP filibuster.

The Shrubbery keeps maxing out the “credibility card” and they keep raising the limit. I’m looking for a candidate who admits their mistakes and learns from them, not someone who keeps making the same mistake repeatedly. I don’t want another Shrubbery, even a Democratic version.
