"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Friday Ark #161…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? Visit all the …
No doubt regaling the young uns with tales of hunting sparrows the size of eagles…
They are watching doves in the front yard who will occasionally steal kibble for the blue bowl right on the other side of the screen. I added the lattice to the door after replacing the screen the last time.
Good thinking, the lattice. But don’t tell me they haven’t tried.
They keep slamming into the lattice, the same way they did before, but they don’t push out the screen now.
They’re probably just trying to tear up the lattice to throw it into a salad…
This would make a good picture postcard. I doubt the card companies buy individual efforts, but it’s a charming picture in any case. The Tax Day Kits certainly are growing up quickly!
They are going to be big cats. Income is on track to be bigger than Sox.
GROAN [that was really bad, Steve.]
