Short tale re long tail, eh? I don’t know why, but I always find it amusing to watch two cats negotiate the details of thier close proximity in a small space.
Oops. Make that “their.” If I could type, I’d be dangerous.
Sorry, not really a cat person. I’m a dog lover, but cats are ok too – from a distance.
Friday Ark #81…
We’ll post links to sites that have Friday (plus or minus a few days) photos of their chosen animals (photoshops at our discretion and humans only in supporting roles). Watch the Exception category for rocks, beer, coffee cups, and….? We will add yo…
Such pretty cats!
Sheesh. How do you keep your office so clean?
Ringo was pushing the limits of Dot’s patience, Steve.
Van, the little town I live in makes it hard to own a dog – too many restrictions.
They thank you, Lark.
Good camera angles and cropping, John.
Once again, a great photo. Ringo has become quite the beautiful cat. With an absurdly
long tail.
She has an iridescent quality to her fur, which is short and silky. She also sheds less than the others because she has only a single coat.
Lovely blue cat, there.
Looks almost like a *question* mark does that curve of the tail.
And she is iridescent in her fur..a real beauty.
Actually, she has it draped on Dot’s head. OWL’s Cotton pulls off a question mark tail today.
The “sheen” is why she is classed as a “blue” instead of a gray cat. She’s mostly korat, a Thai breed, with a hint of tabby.
My cat Velvet is non-pedigree, but he also has a single coat and is very glossy. He loves being brushed or combed which is quite silly as it rarely makes any difference or removes any hair.
It’s part of the communal grooming process, another way of “scent sharing” like the cheek rubbing to “mark” members of the group with the oil from the cheek glands. It also gets rid of any dander.
These cats are by no means pedigreed, it’s just that Ringo has “acquired” a majority of korat traits. We have a large Thai community as a result of the “unpleasantness in Southeast Asia” in the last century. The local Air Force base was the site of a refugee camp.
Now that’s a great picture. Hey, look at that question mark tail. Cute cute cute!
I don’t think Dot would agree, and Cotton had a much superior question mark in his pose.
