Sorry About That

Where’s the food?

[Editor: Back in November I incorrectly labeled this then kitten as Pavlov, when, in fact, she should be called Pavlova. The spinning when I came out should have been a clue. Even as a “teenager”, she still shows up whenever I open the back door hoping for an extra meal.]

Girl or boy she is a beauty! WHo can blame her for seeing if there is more grub in the officng?

Do any of the kitties NOT look for extra grub? If so, I’d say it’s time for the vet.

She’s a copy of her mother, Tonto, but in black and white instead of gray and white – same “mittens” on the front, socks on the back, and white chin. She’ll learn that the grub comes at noon [dry] and five [wet] eventually, although I admit she occasionally scores an extra treat.

The “veterans” know the schedule and do not unduly discomfort themselves on the off chance something might appear.

What a face! Great picture, Bryan. Maybe she deserves an extra treat for, um, maybe I’d better rethink that…

she’s giving you the really evil eye….

Handing out unscheduled treats is a delicate problem to avoid being mugged while leaving the house.

Actually it the light, as we finally have some after days of gloom, Jill. Her pupils are nearly closed and she is still having to half close her eyes. I’ve had a heck of time getting a picture of a cat’s face with it’s eyes open lately.

Who could do severe damage to anyone who tried to pick her up. It’s hard to convince people that these are feral cats, as in wild, and they may look like domesticated cats, they most certainly are not.

does this make her a tuxeda cat?

i was just musing on the juxtaposotion of that photo and the terry pratchett quote. i’m pretty sure cats think they have found the truth [and i’m not convinced they haven’t].

It just indicates she is a koshka, and not a kot, like her brother Petrov [Pavel=Paul, Petr=Peter].

Her truth is that I bring food, and she provides the sleep and play on her own.
