TypePad Hiccupped
If things look a little weird at your favorite TypePad sites it is not your imagination. They were doing something last night that affected a lot of people and destroyed the best comment I ever made at Musing’s musings.
Ah, well.

Ah, well.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Blogger ate two of my posts yesterday. It’s a conspiracy against anyone who has ever typed “Bush is a weenie” on their blogs.
I sit here hoping nothing happens to my server. It’s always something.
When TypePad was new and shiny, I recommended them to a local Democratic club, in preference to Blogger. Now I’m not sure I did them a favor.
Prompted by the auto-renewal of a domain I registered a while back, and the impending renewal of the domain forwarding fee, I created a dummy site over on NearlyFreeSpeech and redirected the domain there. Now all I have to do is decide what I want to do with it. Sigh… indeed, it’s always something.
Growth is always a problem. The merger of the multiple platforms has concentrated what had been separate communities, and new resources will be necessary.
I remember the introduction of the IBM-XT when everyone wondered what any one person would do with 10 megabytes of disk storage.
