Happy Festivus
Yes, today was the celebration of the very untraditional Festivus.
If you celebrate I hope all of your grievances were aired and the airing did not involve the Festivus pole being used in an inappropriate fashion.

"There are two novels that can change a bookish 14-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. The other, of course, involves orcs."

Ha ha ha the airing did not involve the Festivus pole being used in an inappropriate fashion. That idea made me laugh! Thank you:)
You are very welcome, glad I could lighten the mood.
Happy (belated) Festivus, Bryan! and Happy All-Those-Other-Holidays you listed, too!
The solstice is the unifying factor. We have stopped the erosion of daylight and the sun will return. Have a very happy whatever, Steve.
Ah yes, the day of “people who never saw the Seinfeld episode will feel utterly left out of the in-joke” celebration…
Elayne, I don’t watch television unless I’m at someone’s house and it is on, and can say that I have never seen a complete episode of Seinfeld, but I have friends who subsist on the “marshmallow fluff” of entertainment choices.
I try to honor the delusions of my friends, no matter how psychotic I may personally view their choices, because they put up with my Discworld and Mrs. Murphy enjoyment.
