It is 60 miles [ 95 km] East of Bluefields, Nicaragua.
Nicaragua has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the entire eastern coast of Nicaragua and a Hurricane Watch is in effect for the eastern coast of Nicaragua from Bluefields northward to the Honduras/Nicaragua border.

Bryan, it looks as if Ida (now a Category 1 hurricane as of early Thursday morning) may be heading your way in a few days. Or maybe my way, or maybe to Louisiana; once a storm is the Gulf, who knows where it will land. Here’s hoping Ida fizzles out before she gets here.

The steering isn’t at all clear, and this is a very small storm. All we can do is watch and wait.
