India’s 9/11?
Let the cover-up begin.
The BBC has the latest effort of Indian officials to blame it all on Pakistan.
No one explains why the 10 terrorists left 15 sets of personal effects on the trawler, or why they wouldn’t have had some people already in the city for last minute reconnaissance and to obtain transportation for those coming ashore.
No one explained why this crack team of terrorists used satellite phones when all professional terrorists know that the phones can be tracked and monitored.
No one has explained why a trawler known to have been seized earlier was allowed to simply sail in and anchor, despite calls from local fishermen concerned with the possibility of sea transport of explosives.
It took the head of the Taj hotel to admit that there had been warnings of a possible attack 6 months ago, but the hotel became lax, and in any case only protected the main entrance, while the terrorists came in the “servants entrance”.
India needs to stop looking for scapegoats and start looking for terrorists. Their response was not good, and blaming Pakistan is not going to make it better. Blaming Hindu attacks on Christians on bandits, instead of fringe elements of the BJP doesn’t solve the problem. Terrorism is the same, no matter who commits it, and ignoring one group and having a hissy fit over another just makes the situation worse. There is no such thing as a “good” hate group.

Well, I guess that makes it a given then. Rove did get a PR job in India! Meybe the Rove crew have decided that since they totally screwed up the USA almost to the point of no return, they needed a new place to play and India was a ripe target. 🙂
Maybe they even organized or at least helped, the attack. It was certainly amazing that a bunch of amateurs who made many mistakes could cause such havoc. Really does remind me of the US 9/11. Not that I’d ever imply that the Rove Gov… sorry, Bushmoron Gov, would *ever* have done anything so illegal, immoral or stupid. Perish the thought… LOL
Still… The parallels are amazing. 😉 What was that they taught us about *coincidences* in spy school Bryan? 😉 LOL
Maybe Rove wrote a secret manifesto and instruction manual and sold them to nations like India. LOL
I just saw this Source: U.S. warned India about possible Mumbai attack. Apparently the US warned the Indians twice about a possible attack from the sea on Mumbai and the Indians didn’t take this warning or the concerns of its own fishermen seriously.
I realize that the sea is so 19th century, but I have long maintained that there is no reason to go to the trouble of building or buying a suitcase nuke, when for a few thousand you can ship whatever you want into this country in a container.
There are a lot of clues pointing towards Somalia as the possible training site and launching point for this raid. The weapons are certainly available and plenty of people who know how to use them, with no government to interfere. It would be an ideal site for the set up. They took the trawler just like the Somali pirates, in small boats, and used it to transport them to Mumbai.
