Still Not Dead
Flag of Florida
Not the Flag of Florida
Castro’s not dead. His sister says so. His sister is tied into the LOLB [Little Old Ladies in Black] network, so she’s getting better information than the Calle Ocho crowd.
[I’ve always felt the LOLB had the confessional bugged and they go to the first mass to pick up the tapes.]

I saw lots of Not the Flag of Floridas being waved in Miami yesterday; not to be confused with Not the Flag of Mexico or Not the Flag of Any Other Latin American Country. Strange thing – no winger heads exploding, as far as I can see.
The LOLB network runs circles around the White House ( White House surprised by Castro’s illness), which is a surprise to no one.
The LOLB is often involved in cleaning, and nothing is more invisible to the rich and powerful than the cleaning crew.
Castro is 80 years old, smokes cigars like a chimney, and makes multi-hour speeches; how surprised can anyone be about health problems? He is a man who has been made into a symbol by his enemies. Without the Miami crowd he would probably have “retired” years ago and been in south Florida to watch the baseball spring training when he wasn’t playing dominos at a Senior Center.
Last I heard, he actually gave up cigars years ago!
I can’t say that I don’t struggle to understand Cuban Americans in their longstanding hatred. Yes, I can understand hating the guy for uprooting them, taking their [huge] homes [of those who have ready access to W]. But I wander, if there was no embargo and Cuba had been flooded with U.S. culture, how long till he would’ve been deposed?
I’ve always felt that Ché and Raul were the true believers and Fidel could have been lured to the “dark side” of capitalism.
Cuba under Batista was corrupt and mobbed up, something had to change.
About 10 years would have been enough time to reach an understanding, if it weren’t for the virulent anti-communism in the US.
The crowd in Miami are in for a huge surprise if they think ex-pats can go home and get back “their property” and run things. The locals won’t put up with it.
