From the BBC report:Israel hit by Hezbollah barrage

Hezbollah fighters have launched more than 230 rockets from Lebanon, the biggest single-day barrage since the conflict began, Israeli officials say.

One person was killed and dozens injured as some rockets landed up to 70km inside Israel, the deepest so far.

The upsurge came as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Israel had destroyed Hezbollah’s infrastructure.

Mr Olmert insisted there would be no ceasefire until an international force was deployed in southern Lebanon.

“I said I’d be ready to enter a ceasefire when the international forces, not will be ready, but will be deployed,” Mr. Olmert said of the timetable for a halt to the violence.

Hezbollah doubles the number of rockets after you “destroyed” their infrastructure? How about: you have been destroying Lebanon’s infrastructure while Hezbollah waits in bunkers?

From the last ceasefire until the July 12th attack, Israel committed ten times as many violations as Hezbollah according to the UNIFIL, so it is obvious who can’t be trusted, which is why Israel doesn’t want this to be a UN operation.

No sane leader is going to commit their troops to act as a buffer between Israel and Lebanon until there is a stable ceasefire, and the US doesn’t have any troops available to throw into the middle of this war. The sooner the ceasefire, the sooner the troops will arrive.

The prime minister of Lebanon has a simple, reasonable plan for settling this and kidnapping more Lebanese to use in a hostage trade doesn’t help Israel in any way.

Cut the crap, and call a ceasefire. It is obvious to everyone that Israel is not winning, so it is time to stop the killing.

I believe Israel is having problems distinguishing between Hezbollah (a militia/political party) and the government of Lebanon. Or they think Lebanon has a problem with roaches.

It took me a second read in the right frame of mind to figure out your roaches post.

The Israeli intel is really bad if they are actually attempting what they say they want to do. The loss of all of the staff from their last real war is really impacting performance.
