I should hope so! And yes, if I were a GOPer (I know, it’s hard to imagine, but if I were), I’d be running from Dub and toward Big Dog as fast as I could.
A quick search tells me I’ve written two items of doggerel on the subject of your title, one back in 1997 with the title “Politics Makes Strange Bedfellows,” about the apparent practice of several presidents of granting a night in the Lincoln Bedroom to big contributors or other famous people, and the other in 2003, titled “Strange Embedfellows,” about “embedded” reporters in the initial campaign in Iraq. The latter dog is actually new enough to be online.
