Friday Cat Blogging

Arrrgggh!

[Editor: When taking a picture of a cat, like young Property, it is generally a good idea not to let the wrist strap dangle where they can see it. Well, they can’t see much after the flash goes off, and they don’t hang around.]

BLINK! I’ve occasionally lamented having a couple of rather dark-colored tabbies to photograph because they’re difficult to focus on in dim light, but I’ll STFU now.

I know that when I take Samantha’s picture, she would sometimes like to give me a strap on the wrist. Or something like that…

That reminds me of the numerous doomed camping trips my family took when I was a child and my Mom thinking it was a fun idea to take pictures of us waking up in the wee hours of the morning. I think I remember having that same look on my face. 🙂

I almost lost the camera as she got a claw in the strap and bolted. She jumped after I pressed the shutter button. Always maintain a firm grip on the camera.

I was below freezing again last night, which seems to be a regular feature of midweek lately, and the pride is under the covers.

Lol, what was the kitty thinking afterwards?…I’m blind! I’ve been attacked by a clicky flashy thing! WTF?….

Just how many cats are in your pride, Bryan? I’ve lost count, although I realize some are feral and don’t come into the house.

Or leave an SLR neck strap dangling where it will come to the attention of a bored cat. Luckily I got to teh camera in time to stop it plummeting….

There are six inside cats, Jams, and a regular crew of a dozen ferals in three groups. My neighbors also have cats, so they’ll show up occasionally.

As for neck straps, I was almost garroted when I forgot to take off my faculty ID after coming home from teaching and somecat got a claw in the strap. I leave it in the car’s glove box now.
