I love those markings. I can see why you call him spot!

Wow… a Mau. Or a close approximation. Google “Egyptian Mau” and see what you think. That’s a beautiful cat, whatever you call it.
Our friend Catherine’s Mau, Lotus, is very friendly, but oddly, does not like to be petted. She’ll give you a tongue bath, though.

Great markings from “bird’s eye” view.
I avoided using “How now brown Mau”, but not by much. The rag tag band of ferals has some exotic bloodlines, Korat, Siamese, Mau, Abyssinian, as well as plain old short-hair.
He is a very personable fellow when he wants to be.
Jill, that’s the toe of my shoe in the lower right corner, as Spot wouldn’t stop rubbing against my leg so I could get a side shot,
Clearly a cat who knows from whence food comes.

He has discovered the source of all cat treats. Actually he gets fed by the neighborhood.
nice camouflage.
hipparchia´s last blog post..How long does it take for a cat to forget a mildly traumatic kittenhood incident?
If you grey-scale it, it is great camo.
That is one handsome feline. I may be in love, I’m not sure. I love male cats – they seem to be more affectionate and more accepting of affection than female cats who clearly recognize and relish their superiority! My cat isn’t too fond of stroking but love knuckles rubbed back and forth on top of his [rather large] head!
Gayle Miller´s last blog post..
Spot is definitely a friendly cat and will purr like a motorboat if you scratch his head.
Here’s a front view from last October.
