Darwin On-Line

Lambert read it in The Guardian and I heard about it on the BBC: the complete works of Charles Darwin on-line, everything, including the notebooks, not just the printed works.

My late father, a secondary school science teacher for much of his career, lived just barely into the era of the web. I remember showing him a few things; as an educator, his eyes lit up with immediate understanding of its potential. How he would have loved having an easily searchable Darwin at his fingertips!

It has all of the stuff from the Beagle trip, not just the parts that made it into the books.

Now people can really look through his research for clues and information from a trained observer of a world that no longer exists.
