Rudy’s Toast On The Coast
The proprietor of the Pensacola Beach Blog has picture and the story of the dumbest thing any candidate has done to win votes on the Panhandle: FEMA Destroyer Visits Gulf Coast.
While many people are aware that FEMA hasn’t been very helpful with Katrina, few realize the Florida Panhandle is still stuck in limbo on Ivan from the year before, and Giuliani comes here with Joe Allbaugh, who among his other great moves recommend his college roommate, Michael Brown, to head FEMA when he left.
I’m surprised Rudy didn’t schedule a photo op of him kicking dogs at the local humane society – it wouldn’t have made him any less popular.

…interesting way to implement his “Florida strategy”. Next he should go to Miami and reveal his plan to grant diplomatic recognition to the Castro regime…
I can’t wait to dance a jig when Thompson and Ghouliani have to drop out.
I’m waiting to see what MSNBC does with their debate. If they include Rudy, it shows their total disregard for their own “rules and standards” as he doesn’t have any delegates at this point and is dropping like a rock in the polls. They cut off Kucinich and Gravel based on those criteria, so Rudy shouldn’t be getting a microphone.
I wonder if he noticed that the only signs in the area are for Ron Paul, and Huckabee has the preachers’ vote.
After talking so long about a Florida strategy, he sure hasn’t spent much time planning one.
