One Halloween, I dressed in a silly costume with a 𝝅 on the shirt, and carried… and, annoyingly, sometimes played… a recorder. I was the 𝝅ed 𝝅per.

Thanks for the pic of Albert. Now there was a genius in an age of geniuses. I had begun to think that era was past, but the more I read of quantum physics, cosmology, strings and M-theory, etc., the more I think we are well into a similar age today. If we can only somehow avoid blowing ourselves out of existence, we may actually come to understand life, the universe…

I am awaiting for some Southern legislator to introduce a bill to define pi as exactly 3.14, because all those other digits following are just liberal lies to confuse our innocent li’l school chilluns.

You are aware Steve that 3.14159% of all seafarers are Πrates …

I seem to remember that actually being talked about a couple of years ago, Badtux. Something that some clown wanted to add to a law about weights and measures [along with the obligatory rant against the Metric system].

Ties back to your point about ‘geniuses’, Steve – the problem isn’t finding the truth and knowledge, it’s getting people to accept reality if it conflicts with their biases and prejudices.
